WEYBREAD PARISH COUNCIL
PARISH CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER

As our former Clerk has moved on to a full-time position with a larger Council, Weybread Parish Council is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to be the Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organisational and administrative skills, proven experience of financial management as well as a good working knowledge of IT.
The post is primarily home-based for approximately 4 hours per week. The Parish Council meetings take place during the evenings. There are approximately 6 per annum with occasional additional meetings to consider planning applications or other issues which arise and require consideration before the next scheduled meeting. A dedicated laptop will be provided. Experience of working in local government is desirable but not essential as we would prefer a local person with appropriate transferable skills and support and training will be made available to enable you to undertake the role.
Remuneration will be based on experience and in line with the National Joint Council Salary Scale rate ranging from SCP 7 to SCP 12.
