Welcome to the Weybread Village Website
Weybread Parish Council would like to assure residents that support is at hand if you live on your own or are self-isolating and need practical help with collecting shopping, posting mail, needing urgent supplies or just a friendly phone call. There is always someone nearby so don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Many parish councillors have volunteered to help residents in their immediate vicinity and their contact details can be found on the Weybread Village Website – weybread.com -alongside useful links and government guidance. Either contact your nearest councillor or contact Sue Hardy, who has volunteered to be the Weybread support coordinator, and she will direct someone to assist you. Her contact details are as follows: email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone/text 07855203178 or send her a message via Next Door or Messenger. Similarly if you are able to provide any help for your fellow residents who are on their own or self isolating by doing some shopping etc please let us know by the same methods.
We will be keeping the Parish Council website at weybread.com up to date with the latest information and for those who don’t have online access information will be in the shed at the Paddocks, known as The Carrot, where local supplies are already sold, the Church and Middleton’s Nursery.
Weybread is a small parish in high Suffolk, the nearest town being Harleston just over the border into Norfolk 2 miles away.
Weybread is in 2 parts with the main village running through a roman road and Upper Weybread which has a few properties and is nestled off to the south west of the main village.
Weybread is surrounded by fields and we have picturesque views all around us, being not far from the River Waveney and Weybread Pits which have fishing and sailing.
Our local town of Harleston offers a variety of shops and cafes.
